Postal NSP is experiencing high demand. To help us keep equipment reaching everyone (especially people in regional and remote areas with fewer local options) please order what you need and use your free box once a month. There's always more available if you need it.
How the Postal NSP Works
NUAA's Postal NSP provides free and low-cost injecting equipment by post to people across NSW. There's no limit on how much sterile equipment you can get - the free box is just our funded monthly baseline, and you can always order more.

Everyone uses a free account so we can apply your monthly free box and keep things running smoothly. Your details stay confidential.
Get your free box each month
Your account gets a free box voucher on the 1st of every month. It's there for you to use whenever you need it that month.
Need more? It's always available
There's no cap on sterile equipment. Anything beyond your free box is available at cost - we don't make a profit, the price only covers what it costs us.
One account per person
Each person uses one account, which gets one free box a month. This isn't a limit on how much equipment you can have - you can always order more at cost, and if money's tight, we'll help. It just keeps our funded free boxes spread fairly so there's enough to go around.
Getting equipment for other people too? That's a real and valued part of harm reduction, and we'd love to set you up properly - get in touch and we can talk about the best way to do that. More than one person at your address ordering? No problem, just let us know.
Sometimes we notice several accounts sending free boxes to one address. If that happens we'll put the order on a brief hold and check in with you. Naloxone is always available to you, no questions.
Shipping
Shipping depends on your postcode. Postal NSP is here especially for people in regional and remote areas who are furthest from in-person needle and syringe services, so delivery there is free. Metro areas (which usually have more local options) have a flat $20 fee that helps us keep regional and remote delivery free.

If your postcode is classified as regional or remote, shipping is completely free. This is because you're likely further from in-person NSP services.
Metro Areas
A $20 flat-rate shipping fee applies to metropolitan postcodes. If this is a barrier, please contact us, we can help.

Why do I need an account?
Your account lets us apply your free monthly box and keep things running fairly. It also means your details stay confidential and you don't have to re-enter them each time.
What if I don't have an email?
No email? You can create a free address in minutes (we recommend Proton Mail). If you need help, call us on 1800 644 413.
When does my free voucher appear?
A new FREE BOX voucher is automatically added to your account on the 1st of every month. Unused vouchers don't roll over to the next month.
Why is metro shipping $20?
People in metro areas generally have better access to in-person needle and syringe programs. The shipping fee helps us cover costs and prioritise free delivery for regional and remote customers who have fewer local options. If cost is a barrier for you, please get in touch, we'll work something out.
Can I order more than one free box?
There's no limit on how much sterile equipment you can get - the free box is our funded monthly baseline, not a cap. Anything beyond it is available at cost in the same order.
What equipment is available?
We stock a range of injecting equipment including syringes (various sizes), barrels, filters, swabs, sterile water, tourniquets, spoons, sharps containers, and more. Browse the shop to see the full range and current stock.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically dispatched within 1-3 business days. Delivery times depend on your location. Metro orders usually arrive within 3–5 business days, regional may take a little longer. During high-demand periods, dispatch may be delayed.
Is this service confidential?
Yes. Orders are packaged discreetly with no indication of the contents, and your information is held confidentially by the NUAA Postal NSP team and not shared outside NUAA.
What if I'm getting equipment for other people?
That's a valued part of harm reduction and we want to support it properly. Get in touch and we can set you up the right way rather than you juggling multiple accounts.
Financial Hardship & Special Circumstances
No one should go without sterile equipment because of cost. The free box is funded for everyone, and there's no limit on the sterile equipment you can have. If paying for extras or for metro shipping is difficult right now, get in touch - we'll work with you to make sure you can get what you need.
